The objective of your first visits is to establish everything we need to know about you and your condition in order to provide you with outstanding care and service. Usually, you will need to allow half an hour for each visit. Visit #1Confidential Patient Information History Examination
A full musculoskeletal examination consisting of postural assessment, range of movement, muscle strength testing, spinal motion palpation, and a range of specialised orthopaedic tests. This enables us to determine where your problem is and what structures are involved (the problem is not always at the site of pain !) Following this, if indicated, you will be referred for a spinal x-ray. Spinal x-rays allow us to completely analyse your spinal characteristics, help us to rule out more serious conditions and assist us in the development of the most effective care plan for you. X-rays are conducted off-site by a radiographer that specialises in Chiropractic postural series. These are bulk billed at no cost to you. We will provide you with an appropriate x-ray referral. Visit #2Your Report of Findings During this visit, you will be given ample opportunity to ask questions. A program of care will be recommended, in addition to some simple spinal care guidelines to follow whilst under care. Your First Adjustment
Depending on your condition and individual needs, the choice of your adjusting technique will be discussed. We use both manual and low force adjusting techniques. Whatever the adjusting technique that suits your spine, all techniques are extremely safe, gentle and effective for all ages. And then . . .Following these visits, most of our patients undergo a program of care. Your care plan is specifically tailored for your needs and will vary according to your individual circumstances and spinal condition. If you have any questions, comments or concerns during your care, please tell us! |
